A DEEP DIVE INTO EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE: PERCEPTION, MOTIVATION, AND DESIGN
The reason for this approach is the inclination to focus on long-term, holistic organizational design rather than short-term motivation programs. Ultimately, the employee experience is one of the cornerstones of organizational success.
Employee experience refers to how the expectations, needs, and desires of employees align with the design of the organization. The employee experience goes beyond a simple definition; it is a comprehensive approach. For an ideal employee experience, it’s essential for the organization to deeply understand and know its employees. However, we must not forget that experience has a subjective nature. People have different perceptions, values, and thoughts. If all individuals were homogeneous, it would be simpler for organizations to create a perfect employee experience for each individual. But in the real world, each individual is unique, which can pose a challenge for organizations.
Today, the concept of employee experience has been largely influenced by the disciplines of psychology and sociology. Concepts such as teamwork, motivation, and performance have been shaped by social scientists. The importance of these concepts has increased in recent years. Organizations have become more conscious about creating the most suitable environment for their employees. The rapid development of industrial and organizational psychology indicates the demand in this area. Large companies tend to collaborate with psychologists to improve the employee experience.
